University of Puget Sound was not included in this year's [Best Schools for Veterans ranking[(/rankings/veterans). This usually means that not enough data related to veterans was available.
An increased number of veterans enrolling at a particular school means that college faculty are more adept at accommodating and supporting those with previous military experience.
The VA reports that there are 66 GI Bill® students at Puget Sound. Around 3.10% of students at the school are using the GI Bill® since the total enrollment at Puget Sound is 2,130. To put that into perspective, about three to four percent of college students in the U.S. are veterans according to the Student Veterans of America.
This number includes all chapters of the GI Bill®, e.g. Post-9/11, Montgomery GI Bill® and Reserve Education Assistance Program. It also includes Veteran Readiness and Employment. It doesn't include military personnel on active duty who are attending this college through Tuition Assistance. The total military population may be higher.
Unfortunately, Puget Sound does not offer credit for military training.
