In 2019-2020, 1,157 people earned their degree in pharmacology and toxicology, making the major the 226th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, pharmacology and toxicology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $51,400 and had an average of $27,206 in loans still to pay off.
At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 393 pharmacology and toxicology graduates with average earnings and debt of $72,680 and $116,043 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Pharmacology Schools for a Doctorate For Those Getting Aid” ranking analyzed 65 colleges that offered a degree in pharmacology and toxicology. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality pharmacology and toxicology programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
