General Business/Commerce is the 13th most popular major in the country with 55,749 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, general business/commerce graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $40,821 and had an average of $25,596 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 10,177 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,581 and $26,197 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 3,159 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $57,039 and $42,488 respectively.

University of Chicago is a private not-for-profit institution located in Chicago, Illinois. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 11 masters’s degrees in 2019-2020.
