In 2019-2020, 17,830 people earned their degree in hospitality management, making the major the 61st most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, hospitality management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $33,271 and had an average of $21,829 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 1,955 hospitality management graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,317 and $21,565 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Hospitality Schools in the Southwest Region For Those Getting Aid” ranking, we looked at 29 colleges that offer a degree in hospitality management. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great hospitality management programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the hospitality management program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
