2022 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for Information Science (Income $0-$30k) in the New England Region

In 2019-2020, 18,368 people earned their degree in information science, making the major the 56th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $58,848 and had an average of $32,600 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 1,017 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $64,663 and $26,051 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 71 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,753 and $14,559 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value IS Schools for an Associate in the New England Region For Those Making $0-$30k” ranking looked at 3 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in information science. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality information science programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

Located in Lowell, Massachusetts, this fairly large public school handed out 28 degrees to qualified associates’s IS students in 2019-2020.

UMass Lowell not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #2 on our “Best Information Science Associate Degree Schools in the New England Region” list.
