2022 Best Value IS Schools for a Doctorate in Illinois For Those Making $0-$30k

Information Science is the 56th most popular major in the country with 18,368 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $58,848 and had an average of $32,600 in loans still to pay off.
Across Illinois, there were 847 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $60,000 and $31,486 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 13 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $75,900 and $148,219 respectively.
The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great information science programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
