In 2019-2020, 38,958 people earned their degree in information technology, making the major the 46th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, information technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $39,044 and had an average of $25,781 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 6,910 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value IT Schools for an Associate For Those Getting Aid” ranking, we looked at 226 colleges that offer a degree in information technology. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great information technology programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

CCBC is a fairly large school located in Baltimore, Maryland that handed out 66 associates’s IT degrees in 2019-2020.
