In 2019-2020, 37,535 people earned their degree in construction trades, making the major the 34th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, construction trades graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $32,448 and had an average of $11,769 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Plains States region, there were 3,301 construction trades graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,443 and $15,655 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 949 construction trades graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,069 and $19,434 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Construction Trades Schools for an Associate in the Plains States Region For Those Making $75-$110k” ranking, we looked at 30 colleges that offer a degree in construction trades. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent construction trades programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
