International Education is the 291st most popular major in the country with 380 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, international education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $51,040 and had an average of $37,857 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 69 international education graduates with average earnings and debt of $45,400 and $9,965 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 35 international education graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.
Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent international education programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Duke University. It ranked #1 on our 2022 Best Value International Ed Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region For Those Making $30-$48k list. This fairly large school is located in Durham, North Carolina, and it awarded 35 bachelors’s international ed degrees in 2019-2020.
Duke also took the #1 spot in our “Best International Education Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.
