In 2019-2020, 310,601 education students received their degree, making the major the 4th most popular in the country. In 2017-2018, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $43,887 and had an average of $30,244 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 47,206 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,771 and $31,757 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 26,387 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $60,887 and $46,998 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value Education Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking, we looked at 181 colleges that offer a degree in education. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great education programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine is a private not-for-profit institution located in Erie, Pennsylvania. The school has a small population, and it awarded 37 masters’s degrees in 2019-2020.
