Of those degrees, 15,801 went to students in the Great Lakes region of the country. The education school you choose to invest your time and money in matters. To help you make the decision that is right for you, we've developed a number of major-specific rankings, including this list of the Highest Paid Education Graduates.

This year's Highest Paid Education Graduates in the Great Lakes Region ranking looked at 140 colleges that offer a bachelor's in education.

The numbers used in this ranking are early career salaries, which we define to be 10 years after a student started college. This is the salary typically earned 4-6 years after graduation, but may be different depending on how long a person takes to complete their degree.

Salaries of Education Majors After Graduation

The average education major who graduates from a school in the Great Lakes Region earns about $34,025 per year during the early years of their career. That's not so great, since it is 15% less than the national average salary of a typical bachelor's degree holder. However, graduates from the schools in this list may make more.

The national average salary for education bachelor's degree holders is $34,031. That's pretty close to the average for students who get their degree from a school in the Great Lakes Region .
