This year's Highest Paid Education Graduates in Illinois ranking analyzed 35 colleges that offered a bachelor's degree in education.
The numbers used in this ranking are early career salaries, which we define to be 10 years after a student started college. This is the salary typically earned 4-6 years after graduation, but may be different depending on how long a person takes to complete their degree.
Comparing Average Salaries of Education Majors
The average education major who graduates from a school in Illinois earns about $35,362 per year during the early years of their career. Unfortunately, that is 11% less than the average salary of a typical college graduate. However, graduates from the schools below may make more than this.
This salary is in the same ballpark as the national average of $34,031 for those students who obtain a bachelor's degree in education.
