Gonzaga is a moderately-sized private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of Spokane. Gonzaga also took the #1 spot in our Best Colleges for Special Education in the Far Western US Region rankings.
The student loan default rate at Gonzaga is lower than is typical, just 0.2% of students default in three years. 923 students at Gonzaga are exclusively online. 661 of Gonzaga students are attending part time.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Central Washington University. CWU is a medium-sized public school located in the town of Ellensburg. As a testament to the quality of education offered at CWU, the school also landed the #4 rank in our Best Colleges for Special Education in the Far Western US Region ranking.
The student loan default rate at CWU is lower than is typical, just 1.8% of students default in three years. There are approximately 4,411 students at CWU that take at least one class online. 1,565 of CWU students are attending part time.

Western Washington University earned the #3 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the small city of Bellingham, WWU is a public school with a fairly large student population. WWU not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #2 on our Best Colleges for Special Education in the Far Western US Region list.
The student loan default rate at WWU is lower than is typical, just 0.5% of students default in three years. Approximately 827 students take at least one class online at WWU. 1,864 students are part time.

The #4 spot in this year's ranking belongs to University of Hawaii at Manoa. Located in the large city of Honolulu, UH Manoa is a public school with a large student population. UH Manoa also made our Best Colleges for Special Education in the Far Western US Region list, coming in at #3.

The #5 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Eastern Washington University. EWU is a large public school located in the town of Cheney. EWU not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #5 on our Best Colleges for Special Education in the Far Western US Region list.
