In 2019-2020, 9,530 people earned their degree in secondary education, making the major the 88th most popular in the United States.
At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 3,494 secondary education graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,303 and $24,501 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Secondary Teaching Schools for a Bachelor’s For Those Getting Aid” ranking, we looked at 217 colleges that offer a degree in secondary education. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great secondary education programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
