Engineering Technologies is the 19th most popular major in the country with 86,730 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, engineering technologies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,894 and had an average of $21,178 in loans still to pay off.

At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 19,688 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,303 and $24,501 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Engineering Tech Schools for a Bachelor’s For Those Getting Aid” ranking looked at 237 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in engineering technologies. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality engineering technologies programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
