Engineering Technologies is the 19th most popular major in the country with 86,730 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, engineering technologies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,894 and had an average of $21,178 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 24,319 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great engineering technologies programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Bismarck State College. The school came in at #1 for the Best Value Engineering Tech Schools for an Associate. This small school is located in Bismarck, North Dakota, and it awarded 200 associates’s engineering tech degrees in 2019-2020.

Baytown, Texas is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associates’s engineering tech degrees to 150 students in 2019-2020.

Rexburg, Idaho is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out associates’s engineering tech degrees to 18 students in 2019-2020.
BYU - I also claimed a top spot on our “Best Engineering Technologies Associate Degree Schools” list. It’s in the top 15% of all schools in this category. The yearly cost to attend Brigham Young University - Idaho is $7,167 for Associate Degree Engineering Tech students.
The student loan default rate at the school is 3.2%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Victoria College. It ranked #4 on our 2022 Best Value Engineering Tech Schools for an Associate list. Victoria College is a small school located in Victoria, Texas that handed out 38 associates’s engineering tech degrees in 2019-2020.

Ranken Technical College landed the #8 spot on the 2022 Best Value Engineering Tech Schools for an Associate ranking. Saint Louis, Missouri is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out associates’s engineering tech degrees to 154 students in 2019-2020.
