2022 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for Engineering Technologies in the Great Lakes Region

Engineering Technologies is the 19th most popular major in the country with 86,730 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, engineering technologies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,894 and had an average of $21,178 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 15,619 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $50,695 and $21,614 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 4,675 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,508 and $17,812 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Engineering Tech Schools for an Associate in the Great Lakes Region” ranking looked at 59 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in engineering technologies. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality engineering technologies programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
