2022 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for Engineering Technologies in the Plains States Region

In 2019-2020, 86,730 people earned their degree in engineering technologies, making the major the 19th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, engineering technologies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,894 and had an average of $21,178 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Plains States region, there were 6,838 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,288 and $19,942 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 2,394 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,069 and $19,434 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Engineering Tech Schools for an Associate in the Plains States Region” ranking analyzed 45 colleges that offered a degree in engineering technologies. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality engineering technologies programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the engineering technologies program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
