Engineering Technologies is the 19th most popular major in the country with 86,730 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, engineering technologies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,894 and had an average of $21,178 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 27,053 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $44,088 and $21,036 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 5,112 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Engineering Tech Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region” ranking analyzed 58 colleges that offered a degree in engineering technologies. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great engineering technologies programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the engineering technologies program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.
