Electrical Engineering is the 31st most popular major in the country with 30,670 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, electrical engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $70,098 and had an average of $23,581 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 5,130 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $64,427 and $24,003 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 3,206 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.

This ranking identifies schools with high-quality electrical engineering programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
