2022 Best Value Doctor’s Degree Colleges for General Engineering in the Great Lakes Region (With Aid)

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great general engineering programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

It ranked #1 on our 2022 Best Value Engineering Schools for a Doctorate in the Great Lakes Region For Those Getting Aid list. UWM is a large public school situated in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It awarded 21 doctorate’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.
UWM also took the #1 spot in our “Best General Engineering Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region” ranking. Although you might pay more or less depending on your area of study, average graduate tuition and fees at University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee are $25,295.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale. It ranked #2 on our 2022 Best Value Engineering Schools for a Doctorate in the Great Lakes Region For Those Getting Aid list. Located in Carbondale, Illinois, this fairly large public school handed out 5 degrees to qualified doctorate’s engineering students in 2019-2020.
SIUC also made our “Best General Engineering Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region” list, coming in at #3. Although you might pay more or less depending on your area of study, average graduate tuition and fees at SIUC are $32,928.

Out of the 5 schools in the Best Value Engineering Schools for a Doctorate in the Great Lakes Region For Those Getting Aid that were part of this year’s ranking, Wright State University - Main Campus landed the #3 spot on the list. Wright State University - Main Campus is a fairly large public school situated in Dayton, Ohio. It awarded 6 doctorate’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.
