In 2019-2020, 200,458 engineering students received their degree, making the major the 6th most popular in the country. In 2017-2018, engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $64,888 and had an average of $23,564 in loans still to pay off.
Across Florida, there were 8,860 engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $58,635 and $24,148 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Engineering Schools in Florida For Those Getting Aid” ranking, we looked at 16 colleges that offer a degree in engineering. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality engineering programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

Florida State University is located in Tallahassee, Florida and, has a large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 483 ’s engineering degrees to qualified students.
