This year’s “Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking looked at 15 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in engineering. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great engineering programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Brigham Young University - Provo. It ranked #1 on our 2022 Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region list. BYU is a large school located in Provo, Utah that handed out 84 masters’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.

UW is a fairly large school located in Laramie, Wyoming that handed out 34 masters’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at UW, the school also landed the #9 spot in our “Best Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking. Although you might pay more or less depending on your area of study, average graduate tuition and fees at UW are $16,615.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of Utah. The school came in at #3 for the Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region. This large school is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and it awarded 224 masters’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.
U of U also took the #5 spot in our “Best Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking. Although you might pay more or less depending on your area of study, average graduate tuition and fees at University of Utah are $24,695.
Out of the 15 schools in the Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Montana Technological University landed the #4 spot on the list. Montana Tech is a small public school situated in Butte, Montana. It awarded 30 masters’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Montana Tech, the school also landed the #12 spot in our “Best Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking. The school came in at #5 for the Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region. Colorado State is a large public school situated in Fort Collins, Colorado. It awarded 188 masters’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.

Utah State University did quite well in the 2022 Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking, coming in at #6. This large school is located in Logan, Utah, and it awarded 89 masters’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.

Montana State University landed the #7 spot on the 2022 Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking. Bozeman, Montana is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s engineering degrees to 40 students in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at MSU Bozeman, the school also landed the #14 spot in our “Best Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at MSU Bozeman are $21,446, but you may pay more or less depending on your major.
With a ranking of #8, University of Idaho did quite well on the 2022 Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region list. Moscow, Idaho is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s engineering degrees to 72 students in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at U of I, the school also landed the #7 spot in our “Best Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at U of I are $29,112, but some majors have different tuition rates.
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs landed the #9 spot on the 2022 Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking. UCCS is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and, has a fairly large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 40 masters’s engineering degrees to qualified students.

Colorado School of Mines came in at #14 in this year’s edition of the Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking. Mines is located in Golden, Colorado and, has a medium-sized student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 223 masters’s engineering degrees to qualified students.

University of Denver landed the #15 spot on the 2022 Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking. DU is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Denver, Colorado. It awarded 28 masters’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.
