In 2019-2020, 31,648 people earned their degree in health sciences and services, making the major the 42nd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, health sciences and services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $34,571 and had an average of $24,129 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 2,395 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,578 and $25,221 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 437 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,508 and $17,812 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Health Science Schools for an Associate in the Great Lakes Region For Those Getting Aid” ranking analyzed 16 colleges that offered a degree in health sciences and services. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great health sciences and services programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
