Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

Houston, Texas is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out doctorate’s pharmacy degrees to 126 students in 2019-2020.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend The University of Texas at Tyler. The school came in at #3 for the Best Value Pharmacy Schools for a Doctorate in the Southwest Region For Those Making $30-$48k. Located in Tyler, Texas, this medium-sized public school awarded 95 degrees to qualified doctorate’s pharmacy students in 2019-2020.
UT Tyler did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #13 on our “Best Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list. Located in Weatherford, Oklahoma, this small public school handed out 86 degrees to qualified doctorate’s pharmacy students in 2019-2020.

The University of Texas at Austin came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Best Value Pharmacy Schools for a Doctorate in the Southwest Region For Those Making $30-$48k ranking. The University of Texas at Austin is located in Austin, Texas and, has a large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 132 doctorate’s pharmacy degrees to qualified students.
UT Austin not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #5 on our “Best Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list. Average graduate tuition and fees at UT Austin are $22,886, but you may pay more or less depending on your major.

University of New Mexico - Main Campus did quite well in the 2022 Best Value Pharmacy Schools for a Doctorate in the Southwest Region For Those Making $30-$48k ranking, coming in at #7. Albuquerque, New Mexico is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out doctorate’s pharmacy degrees to 70 students in 2019-2020.
In addition to being on our southwest region doctor’s degree pharmacy students whose families make $30-$48k list, UNM has also earned the #9 rank in our “Best Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at University of New Mexico - Main Campus are $19,890, but some majors have different tuition rates.
University of the Incarnate Word landed the #8 spot on the 2022 Best Value Pharmacy Schools for a Doctorate in the Southwest Region For Those Making $30-$48k ranking. UIW is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school situated in San Antonio, Texas. It awarded 82 doctorate’s pharmacy degrees in 2019-2020.
UIW also took the #10 spot in our “Best Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at UIW are $19,242, but some majors have different tuition rates.

TSU is located in Houston, Texas and, has a medium-sized student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 88 doctorate’s pharmacy degrees to qualified students.
