Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences is the 52nd most popular major in the country with 19,436 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $103,354 and had an average of $116,700 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 1,586 pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences graduates with average earnings and debt of $119,791 and $118,493 respectively.

UH is a large public school situated in Houston, Texas. It awarded 132 ’s pharmacy degrees in 2019-2020.
UH not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #7 on our “Best Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences Schools in the Southwest Region” list. The estimated yearly cost for UH is $12,505 for southwest region pharmacy students whose families make $48-$75k.
With a freshman retention rate of 86%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.

The University of Texas at Tyler is a medium-sized public school situated in Tyler, Texas. It awarded 95 ’s pharmacy degrees in 2019-2020.
