In 2019-2020, 934,088 health professions students received their degree, making the major the 2nd most popular in the country. In 2017-2018, health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,506 and had an average of $32,284 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 113,185 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,054 and $25,618 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 32,935 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,896 and $23,899 respectively.
