With 934,088 degrees handed out in 2019-2020, health professions is the 2nd most popular major in the United States. In 2017-2018, health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,506 and had an average of $32,284 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 236,598 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,185 and $32,303 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 29,724 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Health Professions Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region For Those Making $75-$110k” ranking, we looked at 198 colleges that offer a degree in health professions. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health professions programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

Vanderbilt University is located in Nashville, Tennessee and, has a fairly large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 450 masters’s health professions degrees to qualified students.

It ranked #3 on our 2022 Best Value Health Professions Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region For Those Making $75-$110k list. UF is a public institution located in Gainesville, Florida. The school has a large population, and it awarded 512 masters’s degrees in 2019-2020.
UF also made our “Best Health Professions Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” list, coming in at #6. Although you might pay more or less depending on your area of study, average graduate tuition and fees at UF are $30,130.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Thomas University. It ranked #4 on our 2022 Best Value Health Professions Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region For Those Making $75-$110k list. TU is a private not-for-profit institution located in Thomasville, Georgia. The school has a small population, and it awarded 40 masters’s degrees in 2019-2020.
