In 2019-2020, 934,088 health professions students received their degree, making the major the 2nd most popular in the country. In 2017-2018, health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,506 and had an average of $32,284 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 154,860 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $43,793 and $31,617 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 23,930 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,508 and $17,812 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Health Professions Schools for an Associate in the Great Lakes Region” ranking, we looked at 187 colleges that offer a degree in health professions. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality health professions programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
