2022 Best Value Doctor’s Degree Colleges for History
Students have lots of options to chooose from today when trying to decide which college to attend. History is the 22nd most popular major in the country with 32,905 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, history graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $29,593 and had an average of $23,490 in loans still to pay off.
At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 878 history graduates with average earnings and debt of $72,680 and $116,043 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value History Schools for a Doctorate” ranking analyzed 120 colleges that offered a degree in history. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent history programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
