Law is the 25th most popular major in the country with 34,750 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, law graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $58,876 and had an average of $112,084 in loans still to pay off.

At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 34,750 law graduates with average earnings and debt of $72,680 and $116,043 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Law Schools for a Doctorate For Those Making $48-$75k” ranking looked at 146 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in law. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great law programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
