In 2019-2020, 5,894 people earned their degree in library science, making the major the 35th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, library science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $41,658 and had an average of $36,277 in loans still to pay off.
At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 118 library science graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,303 and $24,501 respectively.
