In 2019-2020, 5,894 people earned their degree in library science, making the major the 35th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, library science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $41,658 and had an average of $36,277 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 1,172 library science graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,188 and $32,517 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 1,034 library science graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.

This ranking identifies schools with high-quality library science programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

University of South Florida - Main Campus is located in Tampa, Florida and, has a large student population.
