2022 Best Value Bachelor’s Degree Colleges for Mathematics in Idaho

In 2019-2020, 31,080 people earned their degree in mathematics, making the major the 32nd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, mathematics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,066 and had an average of $21,378 in loans still to pay off.
Across Idaho, there were 71 mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $22,000 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 54 mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,211 and $23,934 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Math Schools for a Bachelor’s in Idaho” ranking looked at 3 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in mathematics. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great mathematics programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Brigham Young University - Idaho. It ranked #1 on our 2022 Best Value Math Schools for a Bachelor’s in Idaho list. Rexburg, Idaho is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out bachelors’s math degrees to 14 students in 2019-2020.
BYU - I also took the #1 spot in our “Best Mathematics Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Idaho” ranking. It costs about $7,167 for Idaho Bachelor’s Degree Math students per year to attend BYU - I.
The low student loan default rate of 3.2% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%.

Moscow, Idaho is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s math degrees to 15 students in 2019-2020.
