2022 Best Value Master’s Degree Colleges for Historic Preservation in the Southeast Region (With Aid)

Historic Preservation is the 294th most popular major in the country with 416 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, historic preservation graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $30,775 and had an average of $36,085 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 166 historic preservation graduates with average earnings and debt of $30,775 and $33,438 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 54 historic preservation graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent historic preservation programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

The school came in at #2 for the Best Value Historic Preservation Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region For Those Getting Aid. University of Georgia is a large school located in Athens, Georgia that handed out 11 masters’s historic preservation degrees in 2019-2020.

C of C is a fairly large public school situated in Charleston, South Carolina. It awarded 6 masters’s historic preservation degrees in 2019-2020.
