2022 Best Value Doctor’s Degree Colleges for Forestry (Income $75-$110k) in the Great Lakes Region

Forestry is the 187th most popular major in the country with 2,292 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, forestry graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $38,496 and had an average of $20,610 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Great Lakes region, there were 301 forestry graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,933 and $20,043 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 19 forestry graduates with average earnings and debt of $74,428 and $121,375 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Forestry Schools for a Doctorate in the Great Lakes Region For Those Making $75-$110k” ranking looked at 4 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in forestry. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent forestry programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
