In 2019-2020, 2,438 people earned their degree in photography, making the major the 291st most popular in the United States.
At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,303 photography graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,303 and $24,501 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Photography Schools for a Bachelor’s For Those Getting Aid” ranking, we looked at 87 colleges that offer a degree in photography. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality photography programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
