In 2019-2020, 17,506 people earned their degree in film, video and photographic arts, making the major the 64th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, film, video and photographic arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $22,714 and had an average of $31,549 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 1,089 film, video and photographic arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $24,081 and $27,676 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 614 film, video and photographic arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,896 and $23,899 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great film, video and photographic arts programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
