In 2019-2020, 17,506 people earned their degree in film, video and photographic arts, making the major the 64th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, film, video and photographic arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $22,714 and had an average of $31,549 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 1,681 film, video and photographic arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Film Schools for an Associate For Those Getting Aid” ranking looked at 47 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in film, video and photographic arts. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great film, video and photographic arts programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

FIT SUNY is located in New York, New York and, has a medium-sized student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 13 associates’s film degrees to qualified students.
