In 2019-2020, 39,860 people earned their degree in fine and studio arts, making the major the 29th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, fine and studio arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $23,847 and had an average of $28,316 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 8,577 fine and studio arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $23,498 and $24,877 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,145 fine and studio arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,896 and $23,899 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Fine Arts Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southwest Region For Those Making $75-$110k” ranking, we looked at 49 colleges that offer a degree in fine and studio arts. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent fine and studio arts programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
