University of North Carolina at Greensboro has taken the #1 spot in this year's music ranking for non-traditional students. Located in the large city of Greensboro, UNC Greensboro is a public college with a large student population. UNC Greensboro also took the #1 spot in our Best Colleges for Music in North Carolina rankings.
About 2.7% of UNC Greensboro students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 10,689 students take at least one class online at UNC Greensboro. 4,738 of UNC Greensboro students are attending part time.
Western Carolina University comes in at #2 in this year's ranking. Located in the distant town of Cullowhee, WCU is a public college with a large student population. WCU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our Best Colleges for Music in North Carolina list.

University of North Carolina at Asheville earned the #3 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the small city of Asheville, UNCA is a public school with a small student population. UNCA did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #3 on our Best Colleges for Music in North Carolina list.

Catawba College landed the #4 spot in our 2021 best music schools for non-traditional students. Catawba is a small private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Salisbury. Catawba also made our Best Colleges for Music in North Carolina list, coming in at #4.
The student loan default rate at Catawba is lower than is typical, just 3.2% of students default in three years. Approximately 163 students take at least one class online at Catawba. 99 of Catawba students are attending part time.
