In 2019-2020, 5,347 people earned their degree in public relations, making the major the 136th most popular in the United States.
At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 425 public relations graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,398 and $43,194 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value PR Schools for a Master’s For Those Getting Aid” ranking, we looked at 23 colleges that offer a degree in public relations. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great public relations programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Kean University ranked #7 on this year’s Best Value PR Schools for a Master’s For Those Getting Aid list. This fairly large school is located in Union, New Jersey, and it awarded 11 masters’s PR degrees in 2019-2020.

George Washington University did quite well in the 2022 Best Value PR Schools for a Master’s For Those Getting Aid ranking, coming in at #16. GWU is a large private not-for-profit school situated in Washington, District of Columbia. It awarded 36 masters’s PR degrees in 2019-2020.
