In 2019-2020, 4,889 people earned their degree in food, nutrition and related services, making the major the 131st most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, food, nutrition and related services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $33,096 and had an average of $25,351 in loans still to pay off.
At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 3,040 food, nutrition and related services graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,303 and $24,501 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Nutrition Schools for a Bachelor’s For Those Making $75-$110k” ranking analyzed 58 colleges that offered a degree in food, nutrition and related services. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality food, nutrition and related services programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
