University of Wyoming tops this year’s ranking as the best school for veterans in Wyoming. Located in Laramie, Wyoming, the fairly large public school handed out 3,143 bachelor’s degrees in 2019-2020.
Of the 11,829 students enrolled at UW, 485 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 317 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $4,839. During this same period, 9 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. UW does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
The low student loan default rate of 4.5% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%. You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Laramie County Community College. The school came in at #5 in Wyoming on this year’s best for vets ranking. Located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the small public school awarded 537 diplomas to qualified bachelor’s degree students in 2019-2020.
According to our most recent data, LCCC supports 3,838 students, and 211 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 125 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $2,080. Northwest Community College does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
Central Wyoming College came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Best Colleges for Veterans in Wyoming ranking. Central Wyoming College is a small public school located in Riverton, Wyoming that handed out 213 bachelor’s degrees in 2019-2020.
According to our most recent data, CWC supports 1,755 students, and 27 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 20 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
