Our 2021 rankings named University of Oklahoma Norman Campus the best school in Oklahoma for veterans working on their bachelor’s degree. This large public school is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and it awarded 7,195 bachelor’s degrees in 2019-2020.

Among the 27,772 students enrolled at University of Oklahoma, 1,464 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 874 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $7,980. To help with additional expenses, 21 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

The low student loan default rate of 4.7% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%. University of Oklahoma not only placed well in our veterans ranking, but it is also #1 on our Best Schools in Oklahoma list.

A rank of #2 on our Best Colleges for Veterans in Oklahoma list means Oklahoma State University - Main Campus is a great place for students working on their bachelor’s degree. Oklahoma State University - Main Campus is a large public school located in Stillwater, Oklahoma that handed out 6,078 bachelor’s degrees in 2019-2020.

Our most recent data shows that 993 of the 24,535 students enrolled at OSU were GI Bill® students, of which 472 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $7,644. During this same period, 28 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program.
