Our Veterans Report on LBI Includes:
Laurel Business Institute was not included in this year's [Best Schools for Veterans ranking[(/rankings/veterans). This usually means that not enough data related to veterans was available.
An increased number of veterans enrolling at a particular school means that college faculty are more adept at accommodating and supporting those with previous military experience.
The VA reports that there are 7 GI Bill® students at LBI. There are 238 students enrolled at LBI. This means that approximately 2.94% use the GI Bill® to help pay for tuition, fees, and other expenses. To put that into perspective, about three to four percent of college students in the U.S. are veterans according to the Student Veterans of America.
This number includes all chapters of the GI Bill®, e.g. Post-9/11, Montgomery GI Bill® and Reserve Education Assistance Program. It also includes Veteran Readiness and Employment. It doesn't include military personnel on active duty who are attending this college through Tuition Assistance. The total military population may be higher.
Unfortunately, LBI does not offer credit for military training.
Our data shows that this school has not received any complaints at the VA.
