In 2020-2021, 8,294 people earned their degree in animal science, making the major the 92nd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, animal science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $30,680 and had an average of $21,798 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 1,383 animal science graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,924 and $22,138 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,239 animal science graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.

Oklahoma State University - Main Campus is a large school located in Stillwater, Oklahoma that handed out 207 bachelors’s animal science degrees in 2020-2021.

OSU did well in our major quality rankings, too.
