In 2020-2021, 49,899 people earned their degree in agriculture and agriculture operations, making the major the 21st most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, agriculture and agriculture operations graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $37,342 and had an average of $19,867 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 11,177 agriculture and agriculture operations graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,477 and $20,720 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 5,177 agriculture and agriculture operations graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great agriculture and agriculture operations programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
