In 2019-2020, general architecture graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $49,005 and had an average of $26,624 in loans still to pay off.
Across New York, there were 212 general architecture graduates with average earnings and debt of $51,814 and $29,383 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 190 general architecture graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,555 and $23,635 respectively.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in New York for Architecture for a Bachelor’s list. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is a medium-sized school located in Troy, New York that handed out 56 bachelors’s architecture degrees in 2020-2021.
RPI not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #2 on our “Best General Architecture Bachelor’s Degree Schools in New York” list.Among the 7,501 students enrolled at RPI, 104 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Alfred, New York is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s architecture degrees to 13 students in 2020-2021.
