When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Urban Planning” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 2,419 people earned their degree in urban and regional planning, making the major the 183rd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, urban and regional planning graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $51,745 and had an average of $23,296 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 422 urban and regional planning graduates with average earnings and debt of $51,066 and $27,000 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Urban Planning” ranking looked at 15 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in urban and regional planning. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great urban and regional planning programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
